The basic idea
A classic Hobnob, as you know, is a no-nonsense oaty biscuit. Slightly crumbly, good with tea, the kind of thing your gran had in a tin. This version takes two of those and sandwiches a chocolate cream filling between them. So: part biscuit, part cream, vaguely reminiscent of a Bourbon's rougher, more outdoorsy cousin.
At 50p for a 100g pack, the price is genuinely hard to argue with. That's not a loss-leader trick, that's just cheap. Stock may not hang around, which is probably why the HotUKDeals crowd pushed this past 1300 degrees of community heat.
Who this is actually for
If you like Hobnobs already, this is a fairly pleasant variation. The oaty texture softens a bit where it meets the cream, which some people will love and others will find a touch soggy. Personally, I'd say eat them fairly fresh rather than leaving the pack open for two days.
Kids will demolish these. Office biscuit tin situation? Spot on, at this price. Someone who takes their biscuits seriously and prefers the plain original? Probably not your thing.
Honest reservation: it's a 100g pack, which is not massive. You're looking at maybe eight or nine sandwiches. Fine for a snack, not really a sharing situation despite what the packaging claims.

Look, at this price point you're not buying a life-changing biscuit experience. You're buying a decent, not half bad treat that costs less than a bus ticket. If you spot them in stock, just grab a couple of packs. Worst case, you're out a quid.
