What you're actually getting
Under Armour's Tech range is about as unglamorous as it gets from the brand. No bold branding, no fancy tech story. Just a lightweight, semi-fitted tee made from their moisture-wicking polyester blend. It feels slightly slick to the touch, not cotton-soft, which some people dislike. But for the gym, or a sweaty run in July, it does the job properly.
A mate of mine has owned three of these over the years. He says they hold their shape better than most cheap gym tees, and after a year of weekly washes, his still looks decent. That's not nothing at this price point.
Who it's for, who it isn't
If you want something to wear casually around town, look elsewhere. The fabric has that synthetic sheen that reads as activewear, full stop. But for training, it's spot on. Lightweight, breathable, and it doesn't cling uncomfortably when you're mid-session.
At £11.90, you're not paying for anything special. No innovative cut, no clever seaming. Just a reliable, functional training tee from a brand that knows how to make them.
One honest reservation
Sizing can be a touch inconsistent with Under Armour, particularly on the S and M. If you're between sizes, size up. The fit runs slightly slim, and nobody wants a tee that feels like a compression garment when they're just doing a warm-up.
Still, for under twelve quid on a brand that usually asks double or more, this is not half bad. Worth grabbing one if your gym kit drawer is looking thin.
