Small But Surprisingly Capable
Right, so 280ml isn't a lot. Let's be honest about that upfront. This isn't the bottle you're taking on a long hike or a full gym session. But for a short commute, a desk companion, or slipping into a kid's bag? It's spot on. My mate uses one for her morning espresso on the way to work, says it stays warm for a solid couple of hours without the handle-burning nonsense you get from cheap single-wall bottles.
Double-wall vacuum insulation on something this small is a nice touch. You'd normally only see that on pricier, bigger flasks. It keeps condensation off the outside too, which matters if it's sitting in a bag next to your phone.
Who This Is Actually For
Personally, I think this makes most sense for:
- Parents packing kids' bags (small, light, not a disaster if it gets bashed)
- Desk workers who want a small hot drink within arm's reach
- Anyone who finds 500ml bottles just too bulky for daily carry
If you drink a lot and hate refilling, look elsewhere. This isn't trying to be your all-day hydration solution.
The Honest Reservation
No listed brand pedigree to speak of, though Sistema is a well-known New Zealand kitchenware name with decent form on lunch boxes and food storage. The assorted colours thing is a bit of a gamble if you're fussy about what you get. At this price though, it's hard to grumble too much. BPA-free stainless at under a tenner is not bad going at all.
