What it actually is

It's a skull. A chrome-finished, cold-eyed T-800 skull that hinges open at the top so you can shove things inside. Small things, mind you. Rings, a watch, a few dice if you're that sort. Nemesis Now make a lot of resin-heavy decorative stuff, and the quality tends to be decent without being museum-grade. This sits squarely in that zone.

I'll be honest: the first time I saw one of these on a mate's desk, I thought it was just a display piece. Then he popped the head open to fish out a USB stick. Which is genuinely funny.

Who this is actually for

Fans of the films, obviously. But also the kind of person who likes their everyday objects to have a bit of personality. At 18cm it's not enormous, so it works on a desk or a shelf without dominating the room.

Not for you if:

  • You want serious storage capacity
  • Your home aesthetic leans Scandi minimalist
  • You need to justify every purchase on pure utility

At around 28 quid with no current discount, it's not a steal. It's more of a considered buy, the sort of thing you pick up because nothing else scratches that particular itch. The 888-degree heat on HotUKDeals suggests plenty of people had that itch.

The honest reservation

Stock moves fast on these when they spike in popularity, and Nemesis Now pieces can vary slightly in paint finish from batch to batch. Worth checking recent buyer photos if you can before committing. Not a dealbreaker, just something to clock.
